What is DD-WRT?

DD-WRT is an open source firmware that you can load on many low cost routers.

The reason we mention it here, is that if you load DD-WRT on your router, you can connect to our service directly on the router and this allow any devices on the local side of the router to use our service.

This includes devices that do not natively support custom DNS to be input, ie:

  • Roku
  • Chromecast
  • and pretty much anything else with a network connection that doesn't have custom DNS fields....

Full details on the DD-WRT project can be found on their website.
