Amazon instant video app HTTP proxy error
If you get "Your Internet connection is currently using an HTTP proxy, content playback is not supported when a proxy is configured." error message on your iOS device upon playing a movie via the Amazon App, please follow the instructions below.
Tap on Settings on your iPad.
Click on "Wi-Fi". Find your Wireless connection which has the tick or checked mark and click on the blue 'i' icon.
Note: On older version of iOS, the icon should be a blue arrow.
You should now be in your Wi-Fi details page. At the HTTP Proxy, change the option from Auto to OFF.
Once you're done, tap on the Wi-Fi button at the top left to save the settings and go back to the Home screen.
Finally, re-launch your Amazon Instant video app and enjoy the movies.
